Wow.
I’m glad I don’t have to do that.

Though, in the right frame of mind it could be sporting. In a certian masochistic sort of way...

Have to take the bags off if I did that every day. Agree with Butch, glad I don't have to do that every day.

It's not my fault...
I don't miss that at all. I'm amazed you've owned the FZ-09 for that long and not put a windscreen on yet!

I'm always amazed that more people don't commute on two wheels when they are faced with that traffic on a daily basis. I am guessing 90% of those cars had single occupants.

Yeah, it makes me wonder sometimes as 90% are singles and at least 50% are on their phones. But riding sure does beat driving in or out of that mess any day, even rainy days.

So you live for those moments that make you smile like the girl on her unicycle thing with the camera, lights and hand signals, or someone spilling their coffee, food, or those that get pulled over on the ramp by a LEO just standing there for being on the phone.

Like I tell others, the only mission is to get where I'm going. About the only place where participation awards are ok :laughing

And DTM74, yeah it's funny how I tell myself I need one, but never get around to ordering it :blush

cal_scott, the benefits of commuting really should be what we advertise more. Oh and the reduced costs of fuel and toll fees.

Cool vid. I do a very similar commute within the City. Its all so familiar.

I like the "thank you/sorry" flash at 6:02 in the vid.

Cheers!

You have way more patience than I do when in that traffic on my FZ-09. Good for you and probably the only way to survive it for any significant duration. I just do it every once in a while for the lulz.

don't' miss that at all...did SLZ to/from SF daily 3 years

then SLZ to/from Berkeley/Emeryville f/a decade during the "Maze" years (those of you who recall going thru the Maze after Loma Prieta quake know what I speak'eth of.)

back in the day before splitting was "acceptable" was hairball...:wow

Looks familiar, I commute in similar shit every day too. :)

Your video is a good instructional tool on how to commute in traffic safely. You are patient, keep your speed under control and while you anticipate what could happen, you make no assumptions and give yourself enough room in case someone does something stupid. Good job and all the best for future commuting!
