I said I knew that it got shipped from Berlin with dual/off-road tires on it and the salesguy said that yeah, but what tires do you WANT on it? 80/20, 70/30, 50/50?

I wish when these numbers were tossed out that actual tires could be mentioned so that I know what we're really talking about. I've had some tires that were better both off road and on the street than others. Where is the TKC-80 relative to these numbers? It works quite well off road and good enough on the street. The Heidenau K60 is slightly better on the street and almost as good off road. The Pirelli MT90 is near both of those somewhere both on the road and off. But I don't know what numbers go with any of them.

Now since you have the bike, how do you like it. IIRC you had a K1300, a few extra ponies over even the new GS. My 2007 GSA has > 150k mi and I'm thinking of replacing it, although it's still going strong and I didn't have problems yet.
