IS this a good DEAL?

Noob!
Found a 1999 Gsx-r 750. Srad. Clean title has 5,000 original miles. The guy selling the bike is the original owner. Bike is extremely clean. He would take $2500.. Is this a good price..?:)

not sure about the second gear issues. first I have heard of them. My old 99 750 SRAD never gave me a problem. Sill I wouldn't hesitate to buy it with that mileage.

^^ That.. I bought my old 99 SRAD with a history of being a track bike. Never had second gear issues..

I googled it and its the 2000-2003 that had the notorious 2nd gear failure issues. Sorry for the false alarm. SRAD'S are sweet and its rare to find a clean, unmolested one.

15yr-old bike for $2500, meh. that doesnt scream 'awesome price' to me when u can get something 5yrs newer w/ fuel injection, lighter weight, better aftermarket support, etc for another grand.

Sounds like a killer deal. That being said, make sure it doesn't have gummed up carbs and fuel lines due to stale gas.
