Is Carnegie open?

I saw on their website that the campground is closed but could I take my kids there to ride for a couple hours? Was planning to go camping/riding over spring break but that's not happening...

Riding seems relatively low risk for spreading any viruses.

thanks

p.s. there was a recent thread in the sink but it had conflicting answers as to open or not.

I was there yesterday. Honestly..... I think a certain someone is gonna complain, take pictures of families spending time together being within 6 feet of each other at the picnic tables (even though they drove in together, live together, etc), twist it and shut us down.....

Yes, it is still open. Went on Sunday and there were many people.

Exact cash only, $5 at the gate.

I echo KooLaid's comments... while it may be the same family that is together at home, someone will use seeing them together at a motorcycle park as a reason to close it. Given those running the state and current mass hysteria, I'm shocked (but happy) it is still open. Plan on riding a lot over the next few weeks.

Edit:
Text update from Carnegie this afternoon, someone must be watching us having too much fun.

Reminder to all Carnegie riders: Please maintain a distance of at least 6 feet between each other and 8 feet between vehicles. Thank you for your help with stopping the spread of COVID-19!

Thanks for the replies. Unfortunately(?) my job is in an essential classification and I need to work tomorrow but maybe I'll be able to take my kids on Thursday.

Carnegie (and Hollister) are CLOSED starting tomorrow. Called and confirmed, and they won't allow riding in even though the press release is to not allow vehicle traffic in state parks. Fully closed.

Ugh. Conditions are going to be prime tomorrow too.

When we went on Thursday it was pretty busy but everyone I saw was pretty much keeping their distance. I bet it was a zoo over the weekend. I was going to take the kids sgsin on Tuesday (I have the day off) and the they're going to be bummed. Last week was their first time (if you don't count 20 minutes riding around the parking lot) and they didn't want to leave. I was going to take my bike this time so we could go on some trails.

Hope it's worth it and California pulls through this sooner rather than later.

I just got a text that Carnegie will not be open tomorrow because of the beer flu. Corona virus, I mean.
I was expecting this.

Closed till further notice. Hollister too prolly. Me thinks, if you get stuck and need help, there goes that social distance thing. Sweating and swearing too, if it gets tough.

Stay safe yall.

Edit... redundant of Mike's post. But hey.

Rode there today for 4 hrs or so; trials stuff on the West end mostly. Traction was good higher up, some clay mud down low. Glad we got in when we did, now it has to be Stony or Georgtown et al.
