Maybe you all already knew this but it was a surprise to me.
Went to the local cycle center to pick up some oil and filters for some winter maintenance. I was going to change the oil and filter on the wife's EX500 and my CBR. While looking in the book for the correct filter I found that they both took the same model filter. :wtf
So out of curosity I checked the R6 and then the R1. They all take the exact same filter. Checked FRAM, K&N, and EMGO brands just to be sure. :cool
To be clear this is:
3 different makes (Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki)
3 different years ('95, '99, '02)
4 different engine sizes (500, 600, 900, 1000)
Same model oil filter. Going to save some $ by stocking up from online source from now on. arty
