When two of the wheels are permanent training wheels, and it has a Tool Man Tim riding lawnmower look to it...is it still a Sports Bike?

Looks like a naked ATV with car tires that Shervin put together IMO, not sure why you would call this a sportbike.

Is there a prize for sharing the link to Alain Deveze's K-Petron?

He's a well off French guy with family money (IIRC) that is able to follow his dream of innovating the four wheel world.

This another of his designs with a similar four wheel layout:

That idea for a diamond shape was first done in 1910 or '14, and it was called the Scarab or something. I can find my book on it if anyone really cares. I would like to have a bottle of wine and discuss vehicle design with him. Hmmmmm EuroBarf is when?

first motorcycle, diamond shape? :nerd

I'd forgotten about the Mercedes - but it has the same wheel layout as your modern find. I was thinking more of the cars that have been tried for a long time that had that same layout.

Maybe that should be a thread on what really was the first motorcycle.
