Iannone

He's done as well as can be expected on that Suzuki but I wonder how well he'll do on the Aprilia next season? He doesn't strike me as much of a "development" guy as just a pure rider. I'll bet Aprilia's really missing Gigi about now.

Whatever that means
He did a lot less crashing once he lost his contract. The Aprilia gig will just be an end to his gp career

The Aprilia is a dog, don't think it'll get any better.

Also, there's the CRC that these threads are probably better suited for, where you'll get more responses.

old and slow
Well, the prototype Aprilia is already better than the current model, if you believe what Espargaro said after this weekend. Whether Iannone will be able to do anything on it remains to be seen. My guess is Aprilia will continue to fall short of its riders' capabilities.

He can ride. I think the issue with Iannone is can he communicate effectively. I think it takes a strong figure to extract information from his complaints.

Once on track, he just rides what he has...very hard.

agreed. Says the new team mechanics may be having trouble communicating with him? Maybe the bike won't do what he wants? Hmmm...

not Stan
I won't be surprised if the expectations in the paddock for Iannone are already super low. IMO, all he needs to do is out-qualify Aleix every weekend and everyone will be satisfied. we'll blame his race crashes on pushing too hard on a shit bike and it won't tarnish his image. he'll do 2-4years at Ape like that, then move to some 3rd tier Sat team or WSBK.

Crazy Joe was not his nickname for his racing activities, I read a quote that it is his nickname for his penor.
