aside from the wind and ravi's spill, i had a great first trackday yesterday. i didn't mind the high number of accidents though because a lot of those bastards were asking for it. even though it stopped the sessions, i didn't have the endurance to make it through each full session anyway.

i learned a lot about my bike and my limits and now have plans on how to tune my bike further ($$$) to improve my track experience. although dragging fairings while leaned over makes for great bench racing, it's more of a sign that the f4i needs some major suspension tuning for my style of riding.

thanks to ed and all of barf who made it such a blast! can't wait for my professional photos!! :D

Ron, i am glad i was one of those bastards that slowed down the track :) :twofinger im playin

Thats crazy how ur lowers scraped, insane man u are.

I had a blast even though i bailed, it was so much goddamn fun. again. You guys are a great bunch of people. And everyone was awfully quick on the track.

so is this where the benchracing starts????? well i will start it off.....

TSC was sooo fast that his zook almost looked like a honda. but not a yammie yet.

Art was so fast he answered steves question of the morning if "we" were allowed on the track. :twofinger

Weasel was sooo fast that he looked like a fox. (not as in foxy)

Lmao! I guess I'm starting to get my track legs back; as long as I leave the bike in one gear for most of the course and just wring its neck, everything clicks. I agree that the wind sucked mucho ass, and I've never attended a track day with such a high number of crashes. :eek At first Ed stuck me in the 'A' Group, but since I was just getting back into the swing of things I didn't really feel all that comfortable (there were some frightfully fast AFM & National-caliber riders there. :eek ). I had more fun in 'B' Group, esp. when I stalked down and killed an '02 R1 and a G1K. :twofinger

Dark Angel is showing great promise, give her some pucks and I gurantee that she'll be scraping them within the next couple of trackdays. ;)

Rsai, sorry about the boo-boo. But you're uninjured and the major bits of the bike (frame and engine) appeared to be fine. It's just a flesh wound! :laughing

Can't wait for the next trackday! :D

Yes, rsrai, you ARE weird!

Just like everyone else, the day was an absolute blast.... again!

I had two harrowing moments, but other than that I can say I'm getting the feel for the gixxer now -- it's too damn fast! If I just accelerated out of turns harder those damn R1s would be falling like flies, but (I have to admit) I got spanked with some authority by rsrai, hooligan, and art!

I think you meant, I was so slow that it looked like I was going backwards on the front straight as everyone passed me at 140+ mph. :D
That's okay though... I had a ton of fun! I can't wait to see Art's footage and the pictures from Darron Spohn (the professional photographer).

It takes about five working days to get the picture cd. I've seen the video footage twice now, and I learned something. The lense is a wide angle, so what I see through my helmet is larger than what I record. So I have some close up and some not so close video. I think next time I will mount the lense on my helmet( less vibration). over all there is some good footage, like hooligan trying to pass D.A. on the inside:D, and that pesky 02 R1:sniper
