Well... in jail they will be obeying the speed limit.
Pretty stiff sentence.

Maybe one dude did... the camera bike. :dunno
The video did not show that.

I was shocked at how stiff a sentence they received. In Merica, what 30 days maybe, if anything.

UK views driving as a privilege not a right.

Yes, naked bike 180 mph, uh huh.

In the US a video of the speedo wouldn't have been allowable. Seeing the wheelies, I suspect somebody was running 1 down three up, and with the usual inaccurate speedo, 180 would have been 90% of 160, or around 145, which I might believe.

29 months for speeding? Police must be bored eh'?

I know someone who flew by a cop on the interstate @ 195ish & the cop didn't do anything...

Guess he figured he wouldn't catch him?

More likely 180kmh = 111mph. That's a bit more reasonable. Speedos in the UK, dont'cha know.

Good point. Journalists usually aren't very expert on conversions and/or willfully ignorant to jack the numbers by doing a 1:1 conversion. :laughing

The article says MPH. I think all of us are aware that UK is on the metric system

I think Climber is correct. Willful ignorance from reporters. They are just as bad in the UK as they are in Merica

didn't look too bad in the video...just a typical hooligan group ride. 180mph???...I highly doubt.

UK is part metric, part imperial. Mph though, and Tesco did state a petrol (not gas) price of pound per gallon (imperial).
