Hi, my chain is loose and I haven't hit the 600 miles yet to do the first service.
Thinking I will need this tool to make it more convenient in the future, does anyone know what size I need?

will this one work? If not, does anyone have recommendations?

Thanks.

Also, I just ordered mine online and won't be here until the end of next week. Anyone close to castro valley that can let me use their spanner to adjust my chain? Much would be appreciated.

The Ducati SSSA bikes use an eccentric hub. You need a large spanner wrench like the one shown to adjust the slack.

You're a Ducati owner. Get this nice Palmer Products stainless-steel spanner that can engage more than one slot on the eccentric hub. More slip-proof adjustment and it's offset to clear the rear sprocket. :thumbup

It would probably fit your Hypermotard. :cool

What time could you be there by? I'd call them anyway. A lot of times, only the service shop is closed but the machine shop still has guys working. If you pay for it over the phone, it's likely they can have it waiting for you on the machine side.

I get off work around 8pm lol. I called in today but they said they close around 6. I guess I'll try to stop by next Saturday until then I'm gonna see if I can borrow the tool to adjust it locally. Thanks for heads up

I have the tool. Made it for my hyper as well. Also is an oil filter wrench.

It really requires almost no torque to turn the adjuster (I'd say about 4 or 5 lbs) so you don't need a whole lot of engagement. The single tooth works fine.

Oh okay awesome. I was watching a video with a guy doing the multistrada. Either he was very weak or very difficult to turn

Guess the one tooth one isn't too bad then

Thanks
