Hwy 146/ Pinnacles Nat'l Park

According to Google Maps, there's a gap in Hwy 146 in the middle of Pinnacles National Park and what looks to be a dirt trail called "Old Pinnacles Trail{ connecting the two paved sections of highway. Can that rail be ridden? Or is it for hikers only?

Misty Colored Memories

I rode the Old Pinnacles trail as part of a bicycle tour loop, many wheels ago ('70s). So cool we were able to ride it then. Pinnacles is fascinating, but closed due to the fire situation. :wtf

That's a good hike, up and then down again. Horses + hikers only. And right now the trails are closed due to fire danger, please check the website.

If you like dirt roads, you can take La Gloria Rd a little N of the Pinnacles from Hwy 15, but the sand gets very dusty and a little deeper in places before the rainy season starts again. Then it also gets muddy/slick in places. Going from Gonzales is uphill and more difficult I would think.
