Just out of curiosity, did you find that it made a big difference?
I did new springs and plates on mine a few months back after two years and 11,000 miles. It was night and day. Huge improvement. I'm just curious if it's as big a deal on bikes with fewer (or just a different number of) miles on the clutch.
For what it's worth I have since changed out the airbox or a K&N pod filter and rejetted to match, which did a lot for my midrange. If you've got a bug for wrenching on your SM they're pretty cheap and easy.
