How many of you use WAZE?

How many riders (or cagers) use the WAZE app on your mobile device, when driving or riding (having it running in the background in your backpack)?

For those that don't know what WAZE is, check it out :)

I love this app! I hope it makes it big and we can get a big network going :)

Awesomeness!

I thought this up about 4 or 5 years ago, glad someone finally did it.

Not interested in using it myself, thankfully, I'll wait for ubiquity, as I'm full of slack.

My first though was "oh this is going be hazardous" but after watching the demo this should be really easy and helpful.

Thanks for the heads up :thumbup.

Seems cool, but I can never deal with these apps unless I'm stopped dead or have a copilot (a real one--not Jesus).

Oh, you can just turn it on and then put it down/away. It can run without any user interaction. The reporting etc is just a plus :)

Bigoted side note: They may want to find someone not from Minnesota/Canada to give the tours...Or maybe they could have a menu where you can select Southern accent, Boston accent, Long Island...

I just grabbed this now. Thanks for the info.

Although I don't have a ton of options for other roads during my commute, by leaving this in the clear window of my tank bag I should at least be able to see ahead of time where some of the really heavy traffic sections will be before I get to them and can be prepared to slow down.
I'll know next week if it turns out to be very useful.

Dang, this actually seems pretty cool...I could've used this on the Bay Bridge yesterday...

Maybe now I won't get guns pulled on me trying to find a shortcut to Skyline...

This software is open source (GPL)...Wonder if they're hiring...

Sidewalk

My bikes have pedals now
I will download it when I get off the net in a few.

Doesn't do much good on a motorcycle though. I can't see it when I am riding, and it will give inaccurate reports since I will be lane sharing :D

I'm going to install it, then lanesplit at speed along the most congested roads, just to lure in, and piss off more cagers.

Cool, sort of like trapster, but better.

Now we need our radar / lidar detecters to alert our cell phones via BT and our cells to report back to a central server where the cops are.

No thanks. Google maps is good enough for traffic jam.

Having the GPS on all the time will kill my battery anyway
