Holy Blooming Squid, Batman!

Show me the way
Riding minding my own business up behind Oakland. Following my friend who is behind a tricked out bmw. We're all moving a bit quick. It's a narrow windy road. When a flash goes by me on the left, I tell my friend on the comms to watch out he has a clown inbound on his left going about 90 and we're 30 yards from a blind turn. The clown stays in the oncoming lane going into the corner and then almost stuffs it into the side of the bmw. We get around the corner and the bmw is chasing down the bike because they're now almost out of sight around the next corner. Not long for this world.

Yeah Jackson, I don't really care if they want to do themselves in, but when they put yourself or others into their path it sucks.

I haven't had any complaints or frustrations yet actually, but coincidentally, I did have a dream just last night where a rider overshot a corner from the opposite direction and cut across my lane. They almost wiped my wife and I out, then ended up down a bank. I stopped to see if they were alright, strangely enough? :laughing

I must have been thinking about this subject last night right before bed to end up having a dream like that? Weird! When I made the post it was mostly a conversational joke, although, I have enough experience to know what happens when the sun comes out in the Spring.

If you want to be Ricky Racer, be courteous to those of us that are content running mid-pack, and if you can't handle that go to a track and compete!:afm199

Saw 2 riders in jeans cowering under the 101 bridge in Healdsburg. They were completely soaked and miserable. My rain gear kept me dry :)

Slidin' is Ridin'
Watched brosef roll up to a stoplight in Concord last week on his GSXR!eleventybillion then whip the kickstand down and perch on top of the bike until the light changed. Because, waiting with your feet down just doesn't go with the jeans and tee shirt look. :thumbup

Dropping a kickstand will trigger some of those traffic sensors that don't seem to work for bikes.
Was he extra cool for that kind of execution at that particular light, or just run of the mill cool?

Not necessarily moto squid related, but this post made me think of this.
I followed a pretty new Audi convertible up 680 yesterday in a downpour.
The top was down for some reason. The 2 people in it were soaked and looked miserable.
I followed them for nearly 10 miles. They had plenty of opportunity to find some shelter, not sure what was going on there but it cracked me up.
They were wetter than I was, but I have better gear. :laughing

This was Saturday after coming home from Hollister. Witnessed a bro in shorts and tshirt getting on 101N in San Jose near 85. Riding a nice red Ducati 999s. Passing cars on the shoulder, darting over to the fast lane and starting weaving/splitting at 90mph+

Wait, he wasn't even wearing a back protector? How did he keep his shirt from flying up in the back?!?!?!? :wow
