Anyone want to play on Hollister's tt track this weekend. I find it more fun and challanging when racing against others. friday thru mon is a good time for me I'll probably come out twice this weekend.
Anyone else with 100 cc's wanna come out?

Can't do it this weekend, but I'd love to join. I don't have a 100 cc but they keep passing me on the TT track, so I thought I'd be ok ;)

If all goes well tonight with some purchases, I'll be out there on Saturday with my newly acquired used XR100... yeeeha! Just got the gear today at lunch.

I also just found out that I have Monday off too, so I might do that as well.

What time were you thinking of being down there? I'm figuring on arriving about noon, probably stop on the way and pick up some gear for the girlfriend as well.

Bought the XR100 last night, so I'm good to go! Stoked to get out there.

I'm planning on being down there on Saturday around noon or so. And possibly on Monday as well. Sunday is a T-Hill day.

Here's a newbie question for you experienced dirt guys. Is there such a thing as too muddy? Do they shut down Hollister, or the TT track due to excessively rainy conditions? I'm just recalling my mountain biking days when it could get just too damn deep to get anywhere, and going out in it would just screw the trails up for when things dried out.

I'm only asking because I'd really like not to spend 2 hrs driving down there on Saturday only to have to turn around.

They do in fact shut down lower field(adobe)and all the tracks when its muddy. You(we)should call Hollister Hills Sunday and see if the Adobe is going to be open on Monday. When they do close it, usually it stays closed for a couple of days till it drys some. So all that would be open is the back section of the park. Basicly from Harmony Gate on back, which is still fun though as far as trails go.

I would call the Ranger satation at Hollister Hills tomorrow afternoon(Friday)and ask if Lower Field(adobe section) and the TT track are going to be open or closed Saturday:thumbup

Cool, thanks. That's good to know. I'm not sure if the itsy bitsy XR100 would be all that good for trail riding, I really want to get it out on the track. I looked at an XR400 for a trails bike, but I'm not sure what I want exactly yet... size, make, model...

Heh, you guys are pretty quick to make a sale. I'll have to check them out. I'm not sure which way I'd go, as I've never really done any dirt riding at all. I'm kinda running up against some garage space limitations as well. Doh! I'm just hoping that the rain will subside and I'll be able to get out there on Saturday wit the XR.
