Help How the FF do I view .dav files on a MAC

We got robbed and ransacked on Wednesday. I finally go the files downloaded but now I can't view them I have downloaded every app suggested by the app store.
I hate this new age!!!

Anyone want to earn some $$$ and just do this?

What model is your dvr? Should be on the bottom of the recorder somewhere.

Can't be opened because it is from an unrecognized developer.

Pound a beer and try again. It's not uncommon for oddball programs to need special authorization. Maybe try that link when you recharge.

Try downloading VLC and converting to a useable file.

There is likely a setting in your DVR to record to another file format. Something like an AVI/MPEG etc.
