got out there a little late today and it looked as if someone jad been there earlier and used a cleaning kit the place provides. so i cleaned up all the nooks and crannies, left some fresh flowers and an additional flag.
but someone in the know please answer my question about rocks?
it seems in that area (jewish i believe) many of the headstones have rocks that are left by the people visiting. my wife's best friend has her grandparent a few rows over from where Yelner is and there is always rocks all around with messages left on them.
Wow, thats way cool of you. :thumbup
Both of my grandparents are there. It is a real nice place.
I know its hard for people to get up there Physically and Emotionally but i tend to go out there once a month usually. if you ever want me to clean up the markers just send me a PM with name and general location. I don't mind doing it because i enjoy the calm and quiet out there.
You, sir, are awesome. :hail
Both of my grandparents are there, as well.
same goes for you, all you gotta do is ask.
my grand parents pretty much were the most influential people in my life. I get pissed that not a single family member besides myself have been up there in probably 15 years. I understand its hard for some people to deal with death of loved ones so i don't say anything to other family members about it.
I have told my kids though not to bury me or my ashes when the time comes, no following a hearse and mourning at a grave site. just dump my ashes somewhere and make sure there is one hell of a party:laughing
