would DA agree to a deal like the one they agreed to. I can understand family's closure and all but damn this scum is almost guranteed to breath free air again and who knows what he will do once he's out on parole.

Because it was a circumstantial case with no body. A tough case to win. It was a gift to the defense and fortunately Reiser is such an arrogant prick he not only didn't take the deal he took the stand a pissed off the jury. Now hopefully he will get a much longer sentence.

I love the fact that if he had taken the deal he would be out of jail already. Serves the stupid prick right.
