gs500 fuel system

hello there! i have a gs500, the carb recently died on me, got it cleaned (and robbed by the guy who did it) and he couldnt even route my carb correctly... its bypassing the purge tank, and he couldnt tell me what was wrong with it. seems like it can be fixed kind of easily, but a petcock may be broken... if anyone could help me out, id appreciate it very much! I could even offer something too... bought a lemon, trying to get it working again, and the parentals are probably going to make me sell it :\

Why is it bypassing anything? It's not all that complicated of a system.

I have an extra petcock and set of carbs laying around that I'm not going to use.

What isn't working properly at this point?

Which year is your GS500?

Removing the tank and connecting the hoses properly is an easy job; sounds like there's more to this story than bypassing the purge cannister.

i think the remote fuel valve is messed up... but my manual says nowhere sells them? anyone know where to get one?

where the hell is nowhere? Are you sure they sell it?

post up on GStwins, i'm sure someone can help you out. Have you tried ebay?

I rebuilt the carbs on my old GS and it was cake, since there's only two.
