We have seen some pretty extraordinary growth during our time. Here is some info you may or may not find interesting...

Current Average Hits/Day: 26,000
Current Max Hits/Day: 51,000

Current Average Posts/Day: 250
Current Max Posts/Day: 362

Current Average New Users/Day: 3
Current Max New Users/Day: 4

"Current" represents data from the past few weeks. The numbers are different when you run back to the first day (Jan 03, 2002) but I can't gather that info just yet.

I remember the "old" days when there were only 5 members

Theres so many different messageboards to choose from...I think its cool there are as many on BARF as there are now.
This is one of maybe 6 different messageboards I visit daily. It would be nice to see more users keep showing up though to build up the daily posts.

How many Unique hits per day. I know that I open a new session about 10 times a day...

As of today, which doesn't include all the data it should (uploading now), the logs show 3,184 different hosts registering a "current" average of about 800 visits per day.

Anytime an object is downloaded. If a page has text, and three pictures on it and someone views it that would be 4 hits. (The html page and three pictures.)

Everyone, please feel free to jump on my case if I'm wrong. (As I'm sure you will.)

Actually, I track "hits" and "page hits". Hits are, indeed, anything including graphics. Page hits, OTH, do not include graphics. The 1,000,000 Served post refers to PAGE hits, as do the stats posted in this thread.
