Those look really nice. I bought a set of the task medium size panniers a while back that I really like. But those moose ones look equally as good

Mounts are up to you !. Usually bolt on. My racks are quick release so I'm going to bolt them up to that and take the whole thing off in 1 piece.

Take a look at the Touratech "Zega Pro" pannier mounts. They are simple, effective, durable and most importantly I could totally make them on something like my mini mill in a snap.

Don't get me wrong I love those boxes on my F800GS but I'm thinking you could buy their rack, make the mounts for these boxes, and come out like $600+ ahead (over theirs).

I guess there is a reason why the BMW cases (Touratech) cost an arm and a leg. You get the complete solution, no headache, ignition key locks them and locks them in place. And my bike has 150k mi and the cases are still good (I'm too lazy to take them off). While these cases look nice, I was not able to locate a proper mount for them. And the seller has a feedback rating comparable to some Chinese sellers on eBay.

I received my boxes in 24hrs. Came with the lid organizer too !. Liked it so much I bought a spare box just in case.

I'd have used the Zega mount but my rack is not tubular so don't think they'll work.

Are we having fun yet?
I don't understand why those name-brand side/top aluminum boxes cost that much (upwards of $500 or more) and why people buy them. Yeah they look cool on ADV bikes but they're just metal boxes. Seems like they're marketed for 2x or 3x of what they're worth and enough people with money buy them...

Just bought two Moose Racing Adv style side cases from eBAY. Crazy good deal at $156 for the pair shipped !!. Not the best reviews available but at that price I'm not complaining. Seem good quality, so I just have to figure out a mounting system.

Thanks, I just impulse-buyed a set too !
I don't need them, but until I need, I can use them to store stuff, so it's not like it's taking a lot of room.

Did you receive them ? Do they look good in person ?

Whammy always looked at those adventure bags as Organ Donor boxes.
Well sort of.

Maybe. I've taken the tops off and come back to camp with them packed with firewood sticking out. I've filled them with water and done laundry. I've had light falls and tip overs on them. They are the camp stools and the top box is the card table and cooking surface. Totally weather proof. So I'd have to put them side by side and test them out before I would support that statement. They are very well built.

Seem like good quality, welded seams, latches are tough (though one had a small rust patch), down side is unfinished Al inside so paint or a liner is needed. I liked them so much I bought a 3rd as backup !. Came with a sweet lid organizer for both too and a couple mystery brackets I've yet to identify.

I think I paid around $2k for the 3 cases for my GSA, minus some discount because I bought the bike as well. These cases are neither manufactured nor sold by the million. And I drove my bike from the lot with the cases + locks installed, no headache, no hunting around for un-identified parts. The manufacturer, Touratech, BMW, and the dealer all need to make a living. They have now lasted my for > 100k mi, and are still rain tight. And they are on the bike all the time. The only time I attached one to the bike with duct tape was after a deer jumped into the bike and trashed one of them, but my insurance covered the replacement cost.

These are the medium size tusk cases. The smaller of the 2 options. Bike is a 2019 Cb500x
