Good roads around Hunter Liggett?

Thinking about a quick 2 or 3 day trip down the coast later this week. Coast Ridge Road, Nacimiento-Fergusson, maybe Clear Creek (county roads) on the way back. Any other suggestions for the area. Any good roads around Pinnacles, for example?

Parkfield grade, Indian Valley/Peach Tree rd, Santa Rosa Creek are some good ones.

Have a hamburger in Parkfield. Good stuff.

Thanks to all for the suggestions. I ended up doing a big loop down to Big Sur, then up through Hunter-Liggett, Parkfield, Coalinga. Highlights included Los Burros, Parkfield Grade, Old Hernandez, and Cross Country (which is think was technically a private road). I missed Gloria Road because I was running triple digits on the speedo back there. Fun!

It was great, though I must admit I was a little nervous about crossing the creek on Old Hernandez. No one to help out if I screwed up.

IIRC, someone lost a KLR there 2 years ago.

This. It was after one of our wetter winters, the creek was 5-6ft deep, and he started to cross it without checking it first. It literally floated away down river.

IIRC, he came back a week later, they located it down river still completely submerged, and carried out a successful recovery of the bike. Don't know if it ever ran again Was either a KLR or KTM, one of those K dual sports :teeth

Nasty. The water was below my knee when crossed it on foot. Not too bad. If i can remember how i'll post the video.
