Anyone know a place that rents Wings ?, I tried Eaglerider but they don't seem to have one in their fleet anymore.

I'm just looking to try one out for a day to see if its for me.

Renting a Wing is on my bucket list, but I don't think I would buy one, unless I needed a great 2-up tourer.

I would consider letting you sit on mine, or even ride it around the block, but it's got a sidecar attached to it!

I wouldn’t mind trying that all new 2018 mode for a couple days just to see how it compares to my Ultra Limited. Of course the Wing has a ton more power...but can the engine even come close to having the same amount of character as my paint shaker v-twin? Is the stereo better, riding position, controls, all that kind of stuff.

Read the latest CycleWorld for a review. Some very welcome changes, some changes are like, WTF? Depending on how you're going to use it, of course.

For example:
Pros: 4 valves/cylinder, six speed, twin a-arm front suspension
Cons: smaller front fairing, 1.1 gallon gas tank reduction, 30 liters reduction in total cargo space (side cases & trunk).

For me, since I ride two up and my 7-10 day trips are often far from towns/gas stations, the cons are disconcerting. :wtf

Honda claims a 20% increase in fuel capacity, if true that means range stays the same.

CycleWorld says it's a 40L decrease (150 to 110). They also claim that the passenger seat isn't as cushy.

Actually, you mean fuel "efficiency". And yeah, I get that's the theory, but it's a touring motorcycle and range is always good. Keep the extra gallon and enjoy better range. They say it saves 7 pounds. (sic) :rolleyes

Hmm, my magazine must have a typo, on page 39 I have 110 for the 2018 and "140 liters total for the previous Wing."

Aside from passenger comfort, the only other shortcoming riders may find in the new Gold Wing is storage space. Dropping from 150 liters to 110, with no options of a larger trunk or taller lid, I think a lot of riders will see Honda moving in the wrong direction.
Oh, okay, not sure which is correct but either way, that does seem counter intuitive to reduce the amount of shit you can take with you on a long haul touring motorcycle.
