Gloves for shorter fingers

soggy

on the pole
Hi, I have a problem with finding good race gauntlets/track dedicated gloves that fit right because my fingers are short relative to the size of my palm, so either the fingers are too long and have dead space at the end which drives me nuts or the glove is too tight around the palm area resulting in cramping/numbness.

Anyone have a similar problem and know which brands to try? Just returned a pair of alpinestars so they are out of the picture.

Thanks

Held makes short-finger versions of the PhantomII and TitanEvo for the whole sizes in black. they are amazing gloves. you might need to order from a European retailer.

Vanson will alter their gloves for you. It take 4 weeks to get a set of gloves made. You should then wear them for while and return them to Vanson for altering, which is another 2 weeks. I've been going through this myself. Pretty frustrating. Helimots gloves are on the short fingered side of the spectrum.

I struggle with this big time. I have comically small hands to start with, and on top of that, my fingers are short compared to the palm as the OP notes. I err on the side of Dead Space At The End. Posting here to subscribe and listen for options.

I hadn't even thought about getting my gloves altered - I don't know why. I'll check and see if Johnson Leather does that.

u can order them from RevZilla, STG, and prob others. good Euro options for cheaper prices are FC-Moto, Motocard, and Chromeburner.

Most of the normal sizes are out of stock. I talked with Revzilla CS and they told me they are no longer carrying Held. Same with Motocard and FC Moto.

Man the lack of held gloves is seriously depressing. Someone needs to get on carrying these asap!!!

I have a pair of custom Helimot gloves. Not sure if he does them at this new location but worth an email or call. I shortened two fingers with a table saw. Really nice to have gloves that fit.

I have the same type of hand structure (shorter fingers in relation to palm size) I tried Dainese and Alpinestars. Then I tried the Knox Handroid gloves and found they fit me really well. Maybe give those a try?

I was looking at those but the reviews I've read we're fairly negative. What are your thought / experience?

What were the negative reviews saying? I've owned a few sets and love em, and have definitely crash tested em.

I don't have any real complaints, except that I wish I wore a size small because there are a few websites clearancing the previous version smalls for under $100.

Spoke with Angel Wings Motorcycle in Oakville Ontario, Canada. They are a Held distributor. They don't list the short sizes on their website but they can order them for you. Spoke with Shubert, Revzilla and a few others who used to be US distributors and they no longer carry Held. Held is a family owned company that's been in business for over 40 years so somethings changed.

I ordered some Held Titans from ChromeBurner in Netherlands last night. Price was great and they've already printed the shipping label. I'll let you know when they get here.

Chromeburner doesn't carry the short finger sizes. At least not on the website.

Revzilla CS suggested I try the Dainese Carbon Long D1 Gloves. I ordered a couple of pair to try.

+1 for Helimot, if you can convince Helmut to cut down a pair for you, they're hard to beat for quality and fit. He's got an online shop at https://www.helimot.com/ but quit doing custom when he moved to Oregon as far as I know.
