I don’t but I bet they are out there. There were a lot of riders in the Gay Pride Parade including the main one dykes on bikes.

I've seen a group on meetup.com called homoto. Don't know anything about them but i think they're a pretty active group

I know several gay and lesbian riders But I don't know if there's an actual club or even a loose group, but it wouldn't surprise me.

Yep, Homoto is pretty much the only active gay moto club in the Bay Area (that I'm aware of anyway). There are a number of Facebook groups for gay riders too, but it's mostly all the same guys (and gals).

Oh, and welcome! :ride

I'd follow up on Bud's statement and specifically see if you can track down who rides in Pride. In my experience, there's plenty of LGBT folks who ride, but I don't know if they organize (other than Homoto--and I just like saying the name so I'm going to type it again--it's so catchy) all that much. My guess is that if one joined the Gay Men's Chorus or something, there'd be a group of them that ride as well.

Homoto, I’ve ridden with them, they’re organized, like safety and they schedule rides regularly.
Agreed about Homoto as an excellent name.

We’re on hiatus now, for obvious reasons; overall there are maybe 8 of us (out of ~270 before March) who ride. Not counting scooters. :twofinger

Another great cause to get involved in - which is also unfortunately on hold at the moment - is AIDS LifeCycle. They use a couple dozen motorcycles to help direct the cyclists from point A to point B. It’s a lot of fun, but if you want a spot on the Moto Safety crew, you have to get on the list a year ahead of time. I’d advise anyone interested to go see Peter at Kilowatt Bar, but... well, you know.

I don't know of any LBGT+ specific groups, but I often hang with the Recycle Garage folks in Santa Cruz and they are wonderfully inclusive. They also host the Motorcycle and Misfits podcast, which is definitely a must listen to. You can check out more here.

I definitely want to join the ALC moto safety crew one of these years, then again, I should stop being lazy and do the ride again too. I miss Kilowatt, and pool.
