What's up Everyone,

Recently picked up a 2015 FZ-07 that I'm currently repairing to get back to road worthy and wanted your advice if you could point me in the right direction for a FZ-07 Specific Forum that you use?
The bike I'm working on has a couple specific issues I'm trying to diagnose and repair without just randomly throwing money at it.

Thanks in advance! :)

LOL I should have expected that response :rofl

There's quite a few to choose from, just wanted someone's opinion on a decent forum. I'm just used to using BARF for all of my motorcycling needs it's kind of hard to find another place that's as useful.

There’s FZ07oc but it’s like a ghost town. Sometimes you get a response and sometimes not. What’s up with your bike?

I can't help you with a specific forum, but if you have specific questions, there are quite a few, very helpful and knowledgeable people on BARF, who might be able to help.

Here's how I've chosen bike-specific forums in the past. I join all of them, ask a few questions, and soon it becomes obvious which ones are worth revisiting and which are a total waste. Then you gravitate toward the one that best meets your needs.

I'm rather annoyed about it, but with my two current bikes I'm stuck with subforums on AdvRider and ThumperTalk. The former is something I put up with, while the latter is fairly decent.

I can remember how the Ducati Monster forums evolved. First there was an email list on MicaPeak (which still exists), then an active member started a forum and about a dozen of us kept that going for about six months until it had some momentum and took off. Then it was sold to that Canadian group that has wrecked so many motorsports web sites - and they proceeded to wreck that one. But the next week some other members of the forum started a new forum, all the good guys went over there, and life was great again. I got "banned for life" from the Canadian one after telling someone where we all went. :laughing Then the good site basically died off too due to lack of interest or something. Or at least the Bay Area subforum is totally dead now.

Thanks everyone for your input, I'll start fz07.org :cool

Would this be possible to potentially move this thread to the Garage so I can ask for everyone's opinion on my issues?

2015 FZ-07 (Previously Wrecked and Repaired)

1st Issue - Bike doesn't start with the kickstand down.
Whenever I turn key to the one position the bike throws a CEL, SD 19 which indicates the sidestand switch kickstand sensor? I bought a used one off of ebay and I'm still having the same issue. The bike will prime but will only turn over but not spark. But when I put the kick stand up the CEL will go away and the bike will start without any issue. Also the clutch person isn't correct so the clutch safety switch isn't plugged in (was already on the bike)

2nd Issue - Brake Light doesn't activate/turn on when either the front, rear or a combination of both is depressed.
Ideas on where to start with this?

My buddies is going to let me borrow his 15 fz-07 so I'll be bringing his down to my garage so I can compare them side to side as far as wiring and sensors go.

Maybe try to run a bypass around the kickstand switch? Here page 4-22 of the owner's manual for troubleshooting

I'd check the fuses underneath the seat first.

Do you have the factory service manual (also the owner's manual for basics)? Look for the 2014 FZ-07 Service Manual on ManualsLib.com if you don't.
