rode it saturday with 2 fairly new riders, id say about 2/3 of the park is legitimately closed(unlike carnegie) because of the fires' majority of the park on the left side is still open-and if you can ride some good fun single track trails, you can make some good fun loops and spend about half a day out there having fun,:cool

you're welcome, word of warning though, if your not comfortable riding some really good technical single track, i'd say go with somebody who knows the park

I find it interesting, why does Carnegie have such a "rampant" off trail riding problem causing them to shut down most of the park but Hollister does not? Occasionally I might see a rogue trail lead off the main single track in Renz Ranch in Hollister but it's pretty rare. So why is it so popular to ride off the trail?
