Fork seal leak on my 06 R6

Hey guys, I haven't ridden my bike since T-hill last October. It's been sitting on a rear stand in my garage in some widely varying temperatures. From warm to freezing. Recently I noticed that the right hand fork is leaking from around the seal. Any ideas on what may have caused this? and more importantly, what do I need to do to fix it? Is it an easy fix myself? Can I fix it without having to buy a new seal and rebuild? and would it be easiest to take it to a shop to do it? If yes to the last question, how much should I expect to pay (It has race tech springs and ohlins fluid), and which shop would you recommend that can take care of it without having to leave it for more than a day?

TIA,
Dan

Dave Moss is the man. Not exactly in your neck of the woods but well worth the drive. Seals fail......get them replaced and get a fresh oil change in the forks while you're there. Just guessing but it would probably take about 1.5 - 2 hrs.

I would love to get it to Dave Moss but he's just so far out from where I am. I'll give him a holla anyway.

He did all my suspension work in the first place and is a genius at what he does.

If you're doing any track days Dave can probably do this track-side with advance notice. He just changed my fork oil track-side the night before my last track day.
