Can I install a BMW Light Lamp pole, just without the light? I plan to replace the entire light unit with Secure360 camera unit.

I figure it shouldn't be a problem since the light pole is only on EU police moto.

So... you want to put the pole on, remove the light, and mount a camera?

Yes, 360 horizontal plane view camera.

Cool thing is intern GPS, intern Radar, proximity recording (transmits to phone & cloud server too).

Here is partially what it records:

Riddle me this.
As long as it's not a light, not a reflector, is securely fastened, and doesn't extend beyond the normal sides of the vehicle, you're good.

The front light pod mounts offer a good position for mounting a camera. I removed the pods on my old RT-P, but left the mount and put a GoPro on it. Provided a good, stable forward vantage point (you'd also need the mirror housing with the cut-outs for the mount).

I thought that too, but I don't have pre-installed pod mounts. Not to mention, they are pricey even when used.

I figure the light pole will give a good 3rd person view when riding. Just like a video game..:thumbup Then lower it and use the 360 cam for parking security.

Hey this Secure360 camera looks great ! Can you make a thread about it ?

I'm really curious to see the result of the install, and some feedback as to how it behaves on bikes (because bikes are leaning, and so the camera will, the detection algorithm can have issues with this)

I’d like to read up on what is and isn’t allowed when it comes to reflective stickers on vehicles. Can you point me in the right direction?

375(e) VC and 24003 VC are the starting points. Basically says reflectors count as lighting equipment and you can't have lighting equipment not required or permitted. After that you can go through a near-endless list of codes.

TL;DR of the vehicle code is: white and amber visible from the front, red and amber visible from the rear, some exceptions for amber from the side. Anything else is authorized emergency vehicles only.
