If you want a shock that has a ton of development done on it, get an Ohlins or Penske. They have been worked on so many times that the valving setups are well established. With Elka you will be part of the development curve.

Plus Penske and Ohlins make really good shock.

how about fox shocks? i know about the rough stuff, but can anyone vouch for their roadracing performance/quality...
