I never hit ice that took me by surprise... Could be some snow, but most likely long shallow water ponds on the road from melt... Water comes into area where it can't flow out.

All very do-able, just needs a rider that can safely do it. :thumbup

This seems a bit more sport touring than ADV. I scootched it over to the right spot.

I love me some Ebbett's. :ride

:thumbup :cool Can depend on the rider (and some drivers)... For some it is more Adventure than they can handle...:laughing

That's the difference between ADV and Adventure.

ADV: Too much equipment for the conditions.

Adventure: Too much conditions for the equipment.

Hwy 4 - Ebbitts was really nice - I rode it back and forth on Saturday. Temp in the 50's near the summit but otherwise very nice weather.

:thumbup Glad to hear it. I just talked to a couple riders from Holland, that had just flown in/ rented bikes, and were headed for Reno, via Ebbetts pass.
