Ducati Multistrada getting RADAR

I mean, I kind of understand why blind spot monitoring would be useful on an automobile, but a motorcycle? Really? Turn your head? :dunno

I think it would be useful as a backup. Humans aren't perfect and even if we do turn our heads to check our blind spots (as we should), there is a slim chance that we'll miss something, and when that happens the monitor could save your ass. I wouldn't mind having it given the much higher stakes for missing something in your blind spot on a motorcycle vs a car.

Rolls with it...
I could see it being useful, like most technology, on bigger bikes like tourers (Gold Wings, BMW's, etc).... :dunno

Good,

Now if you were to pull a wheelie aiming at, say, a fighter jet.

You might be able to set off the jets' targeting system, with all the fun that goes with, , ,

based on story from CHP running a radar speed trap & military jets

You forgot to to mention the 19" front wheel.

MMmmmmaayyyybeeee there'll be a pikes peak version with a 17", but it looks like Ducati went full GS-wannabe.

Remember when the Multistrada had a 17" front wheel and was awesome? Yeah, me too.

What... really?? That would be a deal breaker for me. I have been waiting for 2 years for the V4 beast.

The electronics are basically a whatever for me. Just adds weight. :laughing

7 days until the official unveiling, but the prototype spy shots and dealer buzz are all saying 19" front wheel, also SSSA for all models - the "enduro" lineup becomes tire choice, I guess?

Speculation that a pikes peak model will follow later and that's the 17" 'sport' version.

Seems to be all but confirmed with their IG post yesterday - looks like a 19" front to me:

sad! :( I'm holding final judgement until I ride one but I was hoping for adv-sport-tourer 17" front wheel, been drooling over the V4 (which is rumored 170-180hp)

I hope they do the PP in a 17".

There no chance to sprinkle water on my CF wheel and have it grow. :laughing

And... 19 is not how I ride the bike.

Staying tuned... and then decide what to do.
