Ducati 1199 with 190/55 messes up TC a bit

Road wasn't very wet, but it was somewhat slick. Sometimes light rain is worse than full on deluge, in that it brings the oils up or just coats the surface under the tree shades. But this was just wet. Traction Control set on 6 thought it was worse than it really was.

Why? well, this is a Ducati 1199 with 190/55 rear for quicker steering (stock is a 200 tire). Works great, except when TC is set for 6 or higher (also depends how ham fisted you are). Light blinking, means ignition retarded, solid, means fuel cut. Very subtle, barely noticeable - as it should be. But it works. Fun to get used to it, I guess.

At the end, after 2:15, now on dry Kings Mountain, no lights, no drama. :ride

Sorry, I'm not a snob. Nope. Suggested by an AFM racer. It works for him, works for me. I'm keeping it.
:)

Heh, ok. You asked for options, I gave one. It works for the SBK team, works for me. I'm keeping mine too.

Puig aren't that transparent. You have to see through when tucked.

Yeah, they aren't the clearest. But they are more like OEM than the ZG. Don't get me wrong, ZG makes a fine product. One of the best.

I thought the overall wheel diameter for the Panigale's didn't matter for the TC, my buddy is using a 200/60 and he said it made his bike handle way better.

My Ape has a 'learn' mode to reset the traction control if tire size (or gearing) is changed..
Maybe check your hand book?
