Its a major vacation destination for European and FSU residents. Its also a major kick off point for lots of yacht sailing.

Was there in 2006 and it was really beautiful (they film a lot of game of thrones there) but it's like a lesser version of Venice. Mobbed with tourists and a bit of a historical-ish Disneyland.

I heard long time back that Split and the islands off it were more low key beautiful/cool but tbh, Croatia isn't exactly an unknown secret anymore, so these might get mobbed too.
