Crazy Youtuber Tortures Animals But Doesn’t Get Banned

I don’t know why the youtube algorithm put this video in my recommend section. Maybe it’s because I watch vegan videos and animal rights videos. Out of my curiosity, I watched this guy’s report on a Korean YouTuber that tortures animals and eats them. She hasn’t been banned because of youtube respecting for her culture. I am hard to believe this can be true. A youtuber has been banned for killing cockroaches in his videos but this woman is torturing higher life forms and apparently has millions of fans and followers. If members here are Korean, can you tell me if eating animals like this is really part of your culture? The little clips I saw of her torturing the animals scared me more than Hollywood zombie movies. Does the animals she eat actually taste good? I hope youtube admins will eventually wake up and not let her continue. Also in this video and the comments I see the word “simp” to describe her followers. What does simp mean?

The channel this guy is talking about is this one:

https://www.youtube.com/c/Ssoyoung

So, Mukbang is kind of a gross out thing in that it's about watching people eat a fuck ton of food, but the channel definitely is not dedicated to torturing animals. It's dedicated to preparing and eating disturbing amounts of traditional Korean food. Some Korean foods involve eating live, or just killed animals. I don't see any issue with this at all. If there were more focus put into her making the food and not on eating stupid amounts of it I would probably watch a bit of the channel. It'd be cool to learn to make some spicy Korean seafood dishes, and she seems quite adept at it.

DesiDucati: Try and imagine how it would feel if someone posted here asking questions about your culture in the same accusatory manner that you did about Korean culture, and based on the same information.

She is literally torturing those poor animals before eating them. Don’t you think that’s inhuman? Wow, your comment feeling it’s no big deal is scary. I like diversity and tolerance for different cultures but there are lines that shouldn’t be crossed. What if that Korean lady ate a live dog in one of her videos? Would that be ok because it’s their traditional culture to eat dogs?

I agree with you. Saying "It's Their Culture" does not excuse treating animals in an inhumane fashion, especially when done for entertainment.

I might argue that nature > human's perception of philosophy, in which case things which support preservation could be considered objective.

Ok go for it but you're starting with an assertion you'd need to demonstrate first. That's the problem.

Nothing is objectively good or bad.

Like I said, nature may provide the reference for good and bad in the form of preservation. You'd have to demonstrate that our perception of philosophy is a more powerful force than what people think, which would be a pretty tough argument to make, especially when you factor in time.

Wow, only one guy here agrees while the majority doesn’t. And another guy even trying to turn this issue into racism. It has nothing to do with that. This issue about treating animals humanely. My culture for the most part doesn’t support killing animals. Jains take it to the extreme and won’t even kill insects.

Returning to my main point, did you see how those animals are flipping around in pain being eaten alive? Seriously, I know how much Americans love dogs, so I go back to my dog example. Would you be ok if someone on YouTube eats a dog alive? It’s ironic the rare issue that I’m in 100% agreement with the progressive thinking, you guys don’t care about.

From what Ive seen, the majority of people only apply animal cruelty ideals to mammals, birds, and some reptiles. All the other animals are SOL. Applying a lot of those standards to fish, crustaceans or insects arent in the majority, so shaming people about it just makes u seem like the jerk.

I fish a lot and have my own opinions of conservation and fish cruelty. I limit my take far below whats legal and kill by ikejime, which is considered the most humane. But you know what I do when I see someone not following my ideals (while not breaking the law)... I mind my own business.

Is this true or are you joking? If it’s true please send me a scientific link documenting it. Thanks.

You have google. Help yourself. :rolleyes There is a lot of new research on how plants communicate, network and sense their environment. Enjoy the reading.

Having some deja vu here. Where else have we heard the, "I'm just going to lay here with my legs spread and belly out and you must feed me informational grapes and then I'll tell you if I like them or not"...?
