If you're a visual learner, I suppose any CPR class could be beneficial. When you call 911, the dispatcher will instruct you over the phone on how to control bleeding, open an airway, do CPR, etc. So if you're just wanting to know that stuff, and you can pay attention and not panic in a stressful situation, you will be given instructions in an emergency. I consider those CPR/ first aid classes really only as filling job requirements.
If you want to know a little more about emergency care, or expect to be able to help someone in a more remote environment, an emergency medical responder class might be more appropriate for you. Skyline used to have one, I think it was once a week for a semester or something like that. You'll actually learn some useful skills that are applicable outside of a death situation.
