i know this might be considered political but i just dont get why if this virus is such a huge deal and a top priority why are numerous gun control regs and airline emissions regs and all this other stuff trying to be pushed through in washington. again sorry if thats politcal i just really dont get it. i dont know anyone who has gotten the virus, i dont know anyone who knows someone who got the virus. its making me feel very tin foil-ee lately

It is a personal attack. There is a certain pack of like minded folks around here these days that I assume are banding together in the P-Sink that make sure they color any particular opinion that they choose to attack with character attacks.

They do not like the position in an issue, so they keep trying to color their response with commentary about any personal information they can get about a person. Their behavior in other threads, if they have a job they have posted about, etc.

I assume it is because people like them are unable to separate an issue from their own personal interest, so every debate for them has humanity attached to it. Everything is personal.

Nah it's not personal, like I said it's calling out bullshit fake news people see their Aunt post on Facebook so it must be real.

It's their right to post bullshit just like it's the right of others for calling it out when they see it. No one is attacking his character, only telling him it was a bad business move.

It's not binary at all. A certain degree of cruelty is necessary to keep our craziness reigned in. Not all ideas are good and not all ideas need to be listened to in a rational manner, because sitting down and having a proper discussion assumes a degree of legitimacy. The world is better off telling racists that they're dumbfucks, instead of holding a nice cheese and wine conference on the pro's and con's of bringing back slavery. Treating certain things nicely conveys a level of worthiness and provides a stepping stone of "sorry you didn't get what you wanted this time, but please go back and regroup and build yourself up and we'll try again another time". Binary kindness is flat out dangerous.
