Does anyone know of any Bay Area resource where I could purchase fresh Cloudberries?

Perhaps a Farmer's market with a grower specializing in Arctic Foods?

not happening

best you'll find is jam

they don't travel well

I have been loving some Cloudberry preserves lately. Thought some Berries with Brunost would be amazing on nakkileipa.

Buy some seeds? Might start growing them now :)

They mainly only grow in Arctic Swamps, and apparently the plants take 6+ years before they start to fruit. That is not happening, lol.

They had them at the Anchorage farmers market. I think I saw them in Homer as well. Solid ride up from here.

Yeah, I know you can get them in Alaska and Canada. Pretty much any place the Arctic Council tribal peoples have their lands. Seems like this is a food we all ate around the world.

As in, he's not on the internet trying to find some for sale..?

As in, if there are dingleberries growing near by, I think you are looking for a different kind of treat.

:laughing

Cloudberries are incredibly frustrating to grow in the bay. You’re better off flying to Norway or Sweden to try them.
