Fish Rock Rd out of Boonville. A couple of miles of pavement and then nice packed dirt.
Fish Rock is ok if you are in the area but its not worth its own trip. I mean MAYBE if it has been a torrential winter and its all rutted up it would be fun.
I'm in UT right now but I'll be back this coming week. DM me. I might have a suggestion or two that doesn't involve hours of tarmac for meh results.
Any update to this for the forum? I'm on a KTM 790 S and also looking for bay area dirt for practice. I'd rather not be in the middle of some long tour only to find I'm not comfortable with what I've gotten myself into. I'm looking for some day practice spots.
Was considering just going out to Carnegie but not sure if that place is built for ADV bikes or not.
Head over Mt. Madonna, go down the coast, take Old Coast Rd, head down the coast, take (los?) Burros rd up to Naciemento Ferg Rd. I believe there is some BLM land to ride on the other side somewhere near Lockwood Valley Rd, then go to King City and take that dirt road that cuts across to 25, on your way home get some Hollister or Metcalf. That would be a BIG day of riding.
