I have to say that was a pretty uncalled for hit. Yes the girl was being bitch and did hit him first, but that was really just a sucker punch and a really big one at that.

There is no way he is not going to lose his job. Just none. The bus company can not continue to employ him.

his was an emotional reaction, not a logical one. some people can calm down when they are angry, most can not.

I hear you. I think she was antagonizing the shit out of him. I am sure this is not the first time he dealt with some bullshit on the job.
I know it is easy to sit back and say he could have done better, but honestly it is the truth. He could have just called the police, refused to move the bus etc. That punch could have fucking killed that girl. She was not expecting it AT ALL.
He will get fired (probably get his ass kicked a few times). I doubt assault charges will actually stick though.
