Classes for work / computer skills (Tableau/SAP/SharePoint/etc)

My work will gladly pay for work related training so I'm looking to expand my skill set.

Theres a lot of online offerings but I feel that in-class courses are ideal for my learning. Tableau would be my #1 choice, followed by SAP, then anything else that's relevant.

I'm a project manager in supply chain in the semiconductor industry, if that makes a difference.

I'm hoping somebody here has taken a course they can recommend.

Be aware, the payments they make can be counted towards your income when the new tax law passes. :party

That's kind of a random smattering of subject areas. What are you trying to target career-wise?

If you're looking at BI (Tableau), you might consider MS SSAS/SSRS and PowerBI instead - there's a lot of momentum building behind that stack, and they've left Tableau in the dust on the latest Gartner MQ.

If by SAP you mean BOBJ, etc., don't bother, IMO, they're yesterday's news.

If you're a PM, why not take PMP track classes?

What are you hoping to get out of it?

As a Tableau CPE, I would not say that tableau is a good BI tool. It's more visualization ie dash boarding than anything. If you're looking BI, I would steer you towards SPSS, JMP, or even R. (You kinda hint on that from the PowerBI v Tableau statement)

+1 on PMP

I only threw these 3 out since they are tools that I've come into contact with on a daily basis. The PMP may be the best thing I could do though... Will definitely look into it

Honestly I'm so new to this that I'm not really sure what I'm looking to get out out of it. The only thing I know now is I can learn for free and I'd like to add as much to my arsenal as possible... This is my first "real" job out of school and not even 3 months in..
