Ok I am thinking about getting a new phone and have narrowed it down to these two.

The Blackberry Pearl

and the Samsung Blackjack

I want something that I can use as a PDA, will play music, and has a good user freindly calander for appointments and such. The whole calender thing is my main concern. Everything else is secondary.

I am leaning more towards the Samsung. Does anyone have experience with either of these phones?

I have a BB pearl.

It's the best phone I've had in years!

Excellent screen, light weight yet nice, durable feel. USB hookup for syncing Outlook information as well as charging via USB. Excellent reception, clear speaker via ear piece OR speakerphone.

Excellent media capabilities. Using Desktop manager you can upload and download mp3, pics and video to either phone memory or microSD(up to 2GB I believe) memory.

RE: Calendar
Excellent sync capabilities with OutLook. I don't even have the data plan as I don't need mobile internet access. But I can sync my Outlook at my office and all appts are dropped onto the phone. The phone then alerts at appropriate times, etc. If you cancel appts on the phone, it will clear them from your calendar. Also the calendar views can switch from day, week, and month views. With the rollerball for "cursor" movement and navigation, the GUI for the calendar as well as other apps is excellent

My only complaint:
The sexy piano black finish. I love it, it's a really cool looking phone. But of course, anything shiny and black is gonna get fingerprints, skin oil and scrathes over time.

5 out of 5 stars on the BB Pearl from me.

T-Mobile. Happy with the service so far. I'm not sure, but I think they share networks with Cingular(?)
