Can a stealership charge you USED bikes

I was just browsing the dealership ads, and I found this in a dealerships used inventory ad.
I'm not going to call out the dealer, but I thought this was a bit odd they would include this phrase in a used bike ad.

Prices do not include freight, preparation, tax, title, registration, and documentation fees. Prices shown include incentives applied. Pricing are subject to change.

Can they charge freight and preparation a second time on a used bike?:wtf

Shifty ass dealers :mad:rofl

Someone probably just grabbed some boilerplate language from new bike ads and applied it to a used bike ad.

They can charge whatever they want for whatever they want and call it whatever they want. It doesn't mean you have to pay it. A dealer can charge for air pressure inspection or tire color inspection or mirror cleaning. None of it matters.

I don't understand why people get caught up in the line items when negotiating a purchase. All that matters is the out the door price. Once you let the conversation be about set up fee or "front-end" or back-end" costs, you are not doing your job because you have let the negotiation get away from out the door price. Dealers used these tactics to increase profits. It doesn't mean the dealers are evil or shitty, lots of businesses use similar approaches. All it means is they are doing their job, which is to make money. Your job is to negotiate a good price. If you don't do your job, don't expect the business you are buying from to do it for you.

Rolls with it...
Some used bikes are more used than others... :dunno

Sometimes those used bikes are bought in lots at auctions and need to be delivered from places like LA, SD, etc... :dunno
