CALTRANS is spending money

So CALTRANS has finally started spending money on our roads. What do they think is the best use of the money? Well, they are putting fresh concrete in all the median areas - the strips between the freeways and the on/off ramps - you know: the places that cars are NOT driving on...

CALTRANS has a special division that does nothing but think up ways to piss of the taxpaying public. It consists of 3 guys, two guys sitting at a table bouncing ideas off each other, and 1 guy standing in the corner holding a sign the says SLOW on it.

If they actually started fixing the things they said they'd fix with the tax hikes, they'd have a hard time selling the next tax hike in a few years.

Vote to reject the gas tax hike

To be fair, the federal gas tax was last raised over two DECADES ago. It's one of the reasons our infrastructure is so fucked up at this point.

Federal gas tax NEEDS to go up. These roads and bridges aren't free, and cheap gas is screwing over the coffers that are suppose to pay for the maintenance and updates.

Why? If it's a federal problem, why can states outside of CA have normal roads (and cheaper gas), while CALTRANS can't do anything?

Caltrans is a corrupt organization filled with tons of incompetency, like any bloated bureaucracy that's been around for too long.

It needs to be stripped down and rebuilt from the top down (especially get rid of most of the top layers!!!) to get rid of the corruption and deadwood.

:laughing

And it will still be bankrupt paying off pensions for the next 30 years.

So, what kind of fucked up is it when Dominoes Pizza is offering to come fix your potholes if you order pizza? Have you guys seen these commercials? Like, how embarrassed should the City, County, and State Governments be about this shit?

Why would they be embarrassed? They're collecting paychecks with other people *jestingly* offering to do the jobs they're collecting those paychecks to do. :laughing
