The AFM is looking for some vintage pictures for a T shirt series: 1950's through 2000's The more vintage and cool the better. If selected, we'll use the picture for our benevolent booth T-shirt series in 2019. This a current idea and not set in stone yet...but depending on what comes in, we'll hopefully have a go at it! Please send pics to afm@afmracing.org and title the email: AFM race pictures.

Paddock like is great too!

Thanks

I spectated a moto race in the late '70's in West Virginia and took a grand total of 12 pics. You're welcome to review them and see if they're what you're looking for. Old leathers, old helmets, old bikes, yay!! :teeth

Pic's like this one?
I know there are a lot of ex-AFMers on BARF, and i've been waiting for an excuse to share this pic in here somewhere to see if anyone recognizes these folks in the staging area (probably too tough considering the crap pic. The only person I know is the guy on the 901 :teeth)
1983 pic, but the bike is a 1975, that oughta qualify for vintage

It would qualify now.

Cool pic. Little slice of life.

I assume you are 901. :cool

Look at those leathers we used to wear. Just a layer of leather with two layers on the butt, knees and elbows.
So different from today’s suits.

You can find some historical AFM threads in the best of barf.

2 of the best fotos that come to mind are ‘70s pix by Mush Emmons -
the 1st was made into an AFM (North?) T-shirt & sold out immediately

the 2nd was a seductive, leaned right-upright-leaned left transition shot
(Strobe style) of 6 racers going away thru an Ontario Motor Speedway ‘S’

hell, simplify your search by contacting Mush directly on FB,
yahoo, etc. & have him select a few - won & done!
(just please tell him that ol’ pal Curt Relick sent you)

Tues, after I return home from NV, I’ll post a few from my archive

Probably not tee-shirt worthy but here's my brother John Schaeffer, crew chief/bike builder for Chris Stewart. I'm not sure of the year? 1988ish maybe. I'm not sure of the track either back then we raced Sears, Ontario, Riverside, Willow Springs, and others.

Edit: I believe both these bikes were AFM championship winning bikes.
