CA vehicle registration renewal

What was the cost of that 2017 Dodge 2500? Because my reg a few months ago was $199 and my truck is worth maybe $2k tops. So, I'm paying about 10%. If the Dodge was $60k, then maybe 2.5% isn't so bad.

It's probably an error.

Well, if we go with that rather obvious answer, how will we bitch about insane registration fees.

I guess you could get a Ram 2500 into the 35000 lbs. weight class, but you would have to declare a 25k trailer with it and I can't see many people doing that unless it's car hauling operation or something.

Though I can't quite figure out when the trailer is included as part of the vehicle for gross weight

The paperwork says Body Type is VA (Varied), not the typical PK (Pickup). If it's a Ram 2500, it's not your run of the mill Ram 2500, must have some special body attachment.

The registration on my leased electric Fiat 500e was over $450 this year.

My buddy paid $975 for his 2017 GMC 2500 last year. I paid $660 for my 2016 Ram 2500 last year.
I'm expecting my truck to possibly be $1000 this year.

I decided to go green last year and my only gas guzzler is my motorcycle but California decides to give the smack down for it. Can't win in this state unless you're rich or poor.
