Ok. Well on the bright side it appears you had the best kind of engine seizure you can have - the kind you never knew happened! WTF! I guess I am used to the 2-stroke kind that locks it up and wants to throw you off like superman.

And THAT'S why I stay away from two-strokes! My first lap of my very first race practice a guy on an RD350 seized right in front of me and I almost crashed.

Does anybody have a Clymer book for the CB350 I can borrow?

I do. I'm in the middle of a stalled cb350 cafe build that'll be a couple years before I can get the ball rolling again (condo life = no space and nosy neighbors who continually remind me that I'm not allowed to even open the drawers of my tool box). Shoot me a PM and we'll figure out how to get it to you, or I can scan the pages you need.

I don't recommend the clymer book. it mixes up the 250 and 350 stuff and some of the information in there is just flat out inaccurate or misleading. the book was more unhelpful than helpful when i was building the 350.

i finally chucked that manual and just strictly with the honda shop manual and the parts manual. you can find both as PDF downloads. put them on your ipad and you have a nice shop-ready reference.

you mentioned you had the shop manual. do you also have the parts manual? that reference is a lot more useful when you need to figure out exactly how the parts go together via the exploded diagrams.

Good t o know about the manual inaccuracies. :thumbup

Holy fuck, those drunk 70s fuckers at Clymer didn't tell me to put the o-rings back on the ends of the cam retaining pins so we had to take all that apart. They also don't say to grease the stupid timing advance cam, and there's probably about 100 other things they forgot because they were too busy having unprotected sex and snorting $5-a-pound cocaine.

Clymer and Chilton manuals are for supplemental use only, when you want to cross reference something.

If you do not have an OEM shop manual, you need to get one.

Sorry to hear it's not working out for you.

The bike looks good, and your price is fair. Hope you sell it quickly.
