New MotoGP app is pretty nice. Seems to be a vast improvement over last year so far. No judgements till it comes time to watch racing though.
Might have found a trick to save a few bucks on the subscription too. I bought the videopass through the app on the Play Store. Got charged $139.99 instead of whatever 139.99 Euro converts to.

They stopped supporting the videopass app, so I downloaded the new app. Hope it still supports airplay.

I've used the new app to airplay videos and it's worked well so far. Would be cool if they switched all videos to 1080p, but I will be happy with 1080p@60fps for 2017 onward. Just hope there aren't teething issues with increased bandwidth requirement for streaming 1080p@60fps vs 720p@30fps

I knew that they went from 720 to 1080 for 2017, but the rest is news to me. Do you have any more info on this?

They haven't come out and said they are pushing 1080@60, I assume because then they would have an obligation to try and provide it throughout the 2017 season. I have noticed that the 2017 videos have been 1080@60, the press conference today was running 60fps best I can tell as well.

My picks:
-Suzuki, cause Folger will probably crash (same with Iannone) but Zarco will be slower than Rins who will play it safer.
-This is a tough one but I will go with Lorenzo for the race, in testing Dovi is fast but chasing folks in a race I have gut feeling for Lorenzo as long as he can qualify close to Dovi.
-Top 10 for Aleix, he is going to qualify fantastically but I question his race distance pace. I think Bautista may surprise some people this round.
-I want to say Folger but I just feel like nerves are going to get him and he will crash. Money is on Rins but maybe Zarco will surprise some people.

i mostly went w/ experience and consistency over exuberance for my choices. riders like Iannone and Folger are more likely to bin it while Zarco will bring it home.
Dov is too good ON THE DUC around Losail to get beat by Jorge, even if Jorge's personal results have been great.
the Ape aint ready to have Aleix not crash it sometime during the weekend, hurting his chances at a top 10. there are too many good riders w/ sorted rides that will finish ahead of him. i give Karel a better chance at a top10 than Aleix, so def Bautista too.
