Lo Siento. Really, I know the feeling. In fact, I was feeling it the other day.
After I got outta the cast I got an ankle boot like this:
Then I went to a gym with an indoor pool. It was good, low impact physical therapy. Another thing I got was a rolling vibrator with a bunch of little pyramids around it. I would turn it on and then roll it under my foot with light pressure. It gave me temporary pain relief. I wore Alpinestar Tech 8s, but my foot was so swollen I couldn't use the booty. I ended up just wrapping my ankle with a bunch of white tape and it worked pretty good. Eventually the swelling went down to where I could wear the boots normally.
I have some friends in Germany who have a cold creek running near their house. There's a good spot where they've installed railings and a concrete wading area. The cold water always felt great as it numbed my foot.
It still hurts from time to time. You'll probably get used to it. My doctor warned me that it would lead to arthritis.
