broken bolt

i was tightening the bolts that hold on my exhaust on my 50 and one of them broke so now i only have one bolt holding my exhaust sound and it keeps on popping. What is the trick to getting the broken peice out so i can put a new bolt in there?

what exactly keeps popping? are you talking about the bolts that hold the end into the engine? if so like others suggested punch and easy out, if there is still a little bit of the bolt sticking out use some vice grips to remove it. and remember when putting bolts back in that they dont need to be nearly as tight as you think they should be:thumbup

and also +1 for PB blaster (like wd-40 but it actually LOOSENS the stuff)

I'm guessing he means he can hear the popping from his exhaust because there's now a leak at the header. Did you get that thing out yet?
